The results are in! In our recent Mega Kiwi Sex Survey, we asked almost 5000 people what their favourite sex position was, and it looks like we’re a nation of doggy-style lovers, New Zealand.

34% of survey respondents said that doggy-style is their favourite position, and it came out on top across all genders. Which makes a lot of sense. Doggy style can include vaginal or anal sex, and it’s a great position for sex with a strap-on dildo too, so it really offers something for everybody.

And doggy-style sex is particularly popular for women. 69% of women said that it’s their favourite position (nice).

While Doggy-style is the most popular favourite, it’s Missionary that Kiwis are doing the most, with 40% of respondents reporting it as their most common sex position.

Missionary is relatively easy for both partners as it doesn’t require too much physicality. It’s good early in the morning or late at night when you are feeling sleepy. But for those with the energy for it, doggy-style sex can be a hell of a good time.

Why do people love doggy-style sex so much?

There’s a lot to love about doggy-style sex.

1. Doggy-style gives a great view

Doggy-style gives the person at the back a great view of their partner's booty sticking up in the air. And they can watch their penis or dildo sliding in and out of their partner's body, which can be a huge turn-on.

2. Doggy-style offers deep penetration
