Adulttoymegastore is proudly New Zealand owned and operated and is the country’s biggest retailer of adult toys. Adulttoymegastore (ATMS) has been helping Kiwis to make good sex, great, since 2009. Adulttoymegastore is on a mission to normalise the use of sex toys in Kiwi bedrooms and to advocate for sex-positivity in New Zealand.

The aim of the survey is to spark conversations about sex, to highlight the importance of sex in our lives and to inspire Kiwis to keep an open mind when it comes to everything to do with sex.

• The survey was conducted online and hosted by Colmar Brunton.
• There were two different sample sources for this survey. A total of 1,008 people were recruited through the Colmar Brunton online research panel, to match the demographic profile of New Zealanders for age, gender and region. The maximum margin of error on a sample size n=1,008 is +3.1%.
• An open survey link was also placed on the ATMS website, which was completed by 555 people. The maximum margin of error on a sample size n=555 is +4.2%.
• The results detailed in the infographics are based on the Colmar Brunton nationally representative sample group. Comparisons made against the Adulttoymegastore surveyed database results are highlighted.
• The survey was in field from 4th – 17th September 2017.
