A recent study by Oxford University claims that frequent sex will boost your brain power, meaning there's another great reason to have more sex!

The study found that people who indulged in frequent, regular sexual activity scored higher in a series of mental tests.

The findings were released in the Journals of Gerontology, Series B: Psychological and Social Sciences, where researchers found that people who had regular sex had better verbal fluency, an improved ability to visually perceive objects, and they could judge the space between objects better.

A total of 28 men and 45 women took part in the study, and were given a series test designed to measure attention, memory, fluency, language and spatial performance.

Those reporting the highest level of sexual activity, which is more than once a week, scored the best. Go figure!

What does this mean?

It means that while frequent sex doesn't improve your attention levels, it does appear to have a wide range of benefits on both your state of mind and mental performance.

It argued that the sexual 'afterglow' produced by sex-hormones dopamine and oxytocin lingered for up to 24 hours in both men and women after sex, which can influence their perceptions and performance.
