Our recent masturbation survey was featured in an article on Newshub titled Masturbation May: Kiwis' self-pleasure habits revealed in new bare-all survey.
In May we conducted a survey of 2500 people across New Zealand and Australia to understand more about our respondent’s masturbation habits and attitudes towards masturbation. The study involved a self-reported questionnaire about masturbation frequency, habits, preferences and experiences of pleasure and/ or shame.
In the feature, I commented on the findings, saying, that while society has made significant progress in breaking down outdated and unhelpful barriers around sex and sexuality, feelings of shame continue to persist among certain groups.
