Our in-house Sex Educator Emma Hewitt was recently interviewed by Stuff.co.nz to discuss how to travel internationally with sex toys and avoid a vibrating bag.
It’s a topic we get asked about frequently, so here were the main points.
- Check out the rules of the countries you are going to. Sex toys are still illegal in some countries so check first to make sure you aren’t breaking any rules.
- Put it in your checked luggage to avoid having to pull it out of your bag at security.
- Take a non-anatomical toy. Small and subtle is best.
- Take a toy with a travel lock to avoid a vibrating bag.
- Be honest if they ask what it is. So long as it’s allowed into the country, there’s no shame in taking your toy on holiday with you.
