"Wrap Your Sausage": Adulttoymegastore Sausage Sizzle with Victoria University Featured in RNZ

Adulttoymegastore's sausage sizzle at Victoria University of Wellington was a hit and featured in recent RNZ article: ‘Wrap your sausage’: Campus barbeque serves up free condoms and safe sex message.'

September is Sexual Health Awareness month, so to promote safe sex, Adulttoymegastore partnered with VUWSA (Victoria University Students Association) for a free sausage sizzle on Thursday 18th September. However, it wasn't just the free sausages at the sizzle that were snagged by University students, over 600 packs of condoms were also given out. Adulttoymegastore Owner Nicola Relph told RNZ that it "pays to wrap your sausage" , with shocking results from a a recent survey finding that up to 54% of people aren't using condoms.

"Despite STI rates remaining high, too many Kiwis are forgoing the simplest and most effective form of prevention." Relph states.

Alongside giving out 600 condoms at the sausage sizzle, Adulttoymegastore committed to further donating an additional 1500 condoms to the University in ongoing support of safe sex practices.

"We know students are feeling the crunch financially and we hope gestures like this offer not only a bit of financial relief, but more importantly, some peace of mind."
