The Sunday Star-Times featured Adulttoymegastore and Adulttoymegastore Founder Nicola Relph in a recent article “The Big Business of Adult Pleasure"

Sunday Star-Times journalist Virginia Fallon discusses her findings from a venture to Adulttoymegastore's 3500 square foot warehouse in Grenada North, to the details of running Australasia's largest sex toy business.

Interviewing Adulttoymegastore founder Nicola Relph, it became clear to Fallon that even getting the online store set up wasn't easy. Relph had difficulty securing bank accounts, and 12 months of lobbying to get a buy now, pay later partner on board.

Relph states, "I think it’s because people worry what this sort of business might look like. Are you in a back of a garage? Wearing a trench coat? Really this is millions and millions of dollars of investment.”

And whilst Adulttoymegastore started from humble beginnings, there is no denying Adulttoymegastore is now a major player in the international business of pleasure. Every day in the Wellington warehouse, between 1000-3000 parcels are wrapped in discreet, recyclable packaging and dispatched to 11 countries.

Relph tells Fallon that the scale is massive because so is the demand. "Sexual wellbeing and pleasure have not only become more normalised and accessible, but now form part of a booming global industry"
