The new Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 is here – here’s everything you need to know
The best-selling sex toy is back and better than ever. While it still features the same air pulse technology of the SP2, there are a bunch of other features that make this upgrade particularly special. This article is going to look at the similarities and the differences between the two versions of these Satisfyer toys to help you understand which one is better suited to you. Or, if you already own the original Satisfyer Pro 2, whether it is worth getting the Satisfyer Pro 2 Generation 3 as well.

Design
Let’s start by comparing the design of the toys. The shape of the Gen 3 is the same as the SP2 but it’s had an upgrade with a new silicone outer and a few new colours. The silicone-coated body makes it feel much more luxurious than the rose gold plastic. It’s super soft and comfortable to hold in your hand. Plus, it’s less slippery than plastic if your hand gets a little lubey. And it’s available in 3 colours, a deep wine red, lilac and dark grey.

Like the SP2, there are three buttons on the toy. The single button at the bottom turns on the vibration and flows through the intensity levels. The middle button turns on the air pulsing and flows through the different intensity levels. And the top button goes back down in intensity.
Now this may sound counter-intuitive when you are holding it in your hands as the turn-up intensity button is at the bottom and the turn-down intensity button is at the top but, when you are using it, the nozzle will be directed downwards meaning that higher is at the top and lower is at the bottom.
However, on the original SP2, this is around the other way, so if you have both, it might take a bit of getting used to.
Air Pulse + Liquid Air Pulse
Now, this is where the real difference between the SP2 and the SP2 Generation 3 comes in. You’ll notice that the new version has two caps. One is the standard white silicone cap with a hole in the middle for the air to flow into. This cap is for the classic air pulse technology that made the SP2 so famous.
The second cap is where the magic happens. This one remains covered the whole way across with a thin piece of silicone. And this cap is what they describe as liquid air technology. That thin piece of silicone will move up and down against your clitoris as the air pulses beneath it. The idea is that it “replicates the sensual surge of pulsing water”. It’s the first toy of its kind and a pretty cool innovation! It is relatively loud but with the liquid air cap on, it sounds like bubbles popping which I find kinda cute, but as with most suction toys, this noise is reduced when you use it against your skin.
The air pulse and liquid pulse are controlled by the same buttons. The only difference is the cap that you use. There are 11 intensity levels to explore which is the same as the SP2. It starts low and light and works up to an intense suction.
Vibration
The other big difference between this toy and its predecessor is that the Pro 2 Generation 3 has vibration too. You can use this separately or at the same time as the air pulse or liquid air pulse. There are 5 vibration speeds and 7 patterns to play with. The vibration intensity isn’t very intense so probably isn’t going to do much by itself, but it can be a lot of fun to use alongside pulsation.
Satisfyer Connect App:
The other thing that sets this toy apart from the original is the ability to connect to the Satisfyer Connect App. But it’s important to note that there are two versions of the Gen 3. One version that is compatible with the Satisfyer Connect App and one that is not.
Look for “Connect App” in the title of the product if you want to use the Satisfyer Connect App with the toy.

Here’s a rundown of what you can do in the app so you can decide if you need it or not.
Remote Control
Use your mobile phone or your Apple Watch via Bluetooth or over the internet as a remote control for your Satisfyer device. That way you can use the app to control the toy or hand it to your partner so they can be in charge.
Upon formal, mutual consent, you can also remotely control someone else's Satisfyer device - even in live video chats! That means you can be in one country; they can be in another but you can both have fun together. You will both need to be logged in for this one to get the permissions completed and the two connected.
Create Patterns
You can also create your own vibration patterns and, if you choose, share them with other users worldwide by creating an account and uploading them to the Community section of the app.
The app also offers patterns of air pulse or liquid air pulse. These aren’t available on the controls on the toy so these are specific to the app-controlled version only.
Play & create programs
Play your favourite programs or create new ones using the touch control to adjust the intensity. The sketch mode option is particularly cool, using your finger to swipe up and down to increase or decrease the intensity of the toy.
Ambient vibration
Turn ambient sounds into vibration patterns with your mobile phone microphone. You can talk, hum or sing into the microphone of your phone and as your voice goes up and down, the intensity of the toy will too.
Music Vibes
This is the part of the app where you match it with some banging songs to get the party started. Experience vibrations to the rhythm of your playlist via Spotify or your Apple music library. It’s pretty freaking cool!
‘Remotyca’ Stories
This is their version of remote erotica. Listen to audio erotica and let the stimulation build up as the story does. There aren’t too many stories to choose from yet but it’s a new feature so we should be able to expect more in the future.
Rabbit boost mode
If you like to go from 0 – 100, the rabbit boost mode is the tool for you. At the tap of the rabbit button, the intensity level will go right to the highest level. No need to work through the modes using the buttons. Just one hit and you’re there.
Battery-life
My favourite feature of the app is that it shows you how much battery is left in the toy. So if you have ever had a toy DIE ON YOU MID SESSION, you will understand just how important this feature is. We give thanks and praises to Satisfyer for this one.
Overall, the toys are relatively similar in that they still feature the popular air pulse technology that made the SP2 so famous. But Generation 3 offers lots of fun extras that make having both worth it. The addition of vibration makes it feel more intense overall especially if you have the air pulsing or liquid pulsing on at the same time. And that liquid air pulsing is a brand new type of sensation that feels completely different to other types of stimulation. And we can’t forget the app! Some might find it a bit gimmicky but for others, it can create hours of fun and is ideal for keeping those in long-distance relationships connected.
