Liberator shift into mask production during COVID 19 outbreak
Your favourite sex furniture brand Liberator has had a shift in production to help out in the fight against the spread of COVID19.
Liberator parent company LUVU brands stated that it is opening up operations again to move into mask production to help with mask shortages for hospitals, healthcare workers and consumers.
The companies goal is to produce 100,000 masks per week states founder and CEO Louis Friedman. The LUVU Brands factory is a 14,000 square-foot factory with state of the art facilities for cutting fabric and sewing products.
The team have been directed to develop a medical face mask that can be produced in high volumes with their readily available materials.
“That mask is now in production and we are ramping up. They are made with a removable five-layer carbon-infused PM 2.5 filter insert, they fit closely over the face and are held in place by two adjustable elastic straps with a metal adjuster on the nose. They are intended for reuse and can be washed in hot water.”
According to Friedman, these masks are intended to extend the wearability of the N95 medical masks that are in short supply. They are also in talks with federal agencies to supple N95 masks that meet FDA standards once they acquire the approved filter materials.
