If you are looking to settle down into a monogamous relationship and not having much luck in your current city, then continue reading as a new survey has found the top New Zealand cities where you'll likely find the most men and women who prioritize monogamous relationships!
The survey was conducted by an anonymous nationwide survey with 6000 registered members to help discover our most monogamous cities and towns.
The study asked randomly selected participants to what extent they agreed with the statement, 'I believe that monogamy is essential in a relationship'. These scores were then averaged out by area.
Coming out on top was Paraparaumu, who ranked monogamy in a relationship the highest.
When it comes to uncovering why Paraparaumu was such a hotbed of monogamy, counsellor Derek Borland was at a loss. Borland said his Kapiti Coast practice had actually been busier this year, including a lot of relationship work.
Whereas EliteSingles NZ editor, Sophie Watson, said it was not surprising Paraparaumu came out on top. "Our average user does tend to be slightly more mature than on some dating sites, with the majority of our users giving serious thought to settling down. Our age range aligns quite nice with Kapiti Coast's demographics, so I think it's quite natural that this area is home to people that both use our site and are interested in monogamy."
